CORRECT QUESTION:

The area of a rhombus is 119 cm² and its perimeter is 56 cm. Find its height?

ANSWER:

  • Height of the Rhombus is 17cm.

TO FIND:

  • Height?

GIVEN:

  • The area of a rhombus is 119 cm² and its perimeter is 56 cm.

SOLUTION:

Let each side of the rhombus be x

Now,

4x = 56cm

x = 56/4

x = 14cm.

Hence , Base of the rhombus = 14cm.

FORMULAE TO FIND:

Area of the rhombus = h × b × 1/2

SOLVING BY APPLYING THE FORMULA:

h × 14 × 1/2 = 119cm²

h × 14 = 119 × 2

h × 14 = 238

h = 238/14

h = 17cm.

Hence , Height of the rhombus is 17cm.

Question:-

  1. The area of a rhombus is 119^{2} and its perimeter is 56^{2}. Find its height.

Required answer:-

  • 8.5 cm is the height of the rhombus

To find,

  • The area of the rhombus

Given that:-

  • Area of rhombus = 119^{2}cm
  • Perimeter of rhombus = 56^{2}cm

Formula used:-

\rm\dfrac{1}{2} \times d_1 \times d_2

Solution:-

Let ABCD is the rhombus such that

 Area = 119^{2}

 Perimeter = 56^{2}

Each side = \rm\dfrac{56}{4}=14cm

  Let 'h' be the height of the rhombus

Area = base x height

 ⇒ 119 = 14 x h

⇒  14h = 119

⇒ h = \rm\dfrac{119}{14}=8.5cm
