(x,y)=(m+nmx2+nx1,m+nmy2+ny1)

Therefore,

(x1=4,y1=−3) and (x2=9,y2=7)

Also, m=3 and n=2

Let the required point be P(x,y).

Using section formula,

x=m+nmx2+nx1,y=m+nmy2+ny1

x=53×9+2×4=7,y=53×7+×−3=3

so answer will be p(7, 3)
