The length of the rectangle is 5 cm more than twice its width .

Let width = x meter

Length = ( 2x + 5 ) cm

If the length is increased by 3 cm and the width is increased by 2 cm .

New Length = 2x + 8 cm

Width = x + 2 cm

The perimeter of the new rectangle will be 62 cm.

So ,

2 ( Length + Width ) = 62

( We found the value of x

x = 7 )

__________________________

So original width = 7

Length = 19

Area of original rectangle = 133 cm
