Rate (R) = 3% per annum

Simple Interest (SI) = Rs. 36

Formula Used:-

Simple Interest

= PxRxt

Solution:-

 = 36 =  \frac{x \times 3 \times 3}{100}  \\  = x =   \frac{3600}{9}  \\  = x = 400

The principal sum = Rs. 400
