Step-by-step explanation:

ACCORDING TO PYTHAGORAS PROPERTY:

H²=P²+B² (H=AC, P=AB, B=BC)

H²=24²+7²

H²=576+49

H²=625

H²=25

THEREFORE, AC=25cm

AREA OF ∆ABC= 1/2×B×H

= 1/2×24×7

=84cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

by using pythagoras theorem

ab2 + bc2=ac2

24 + 7=ac2

576+49 =ac2

625=ac2

root 625=ac

25=ac[ 625 is the perfect square root of 25]

i) therefore, the length of AC is 25.

ii) the area of triangle ABC is 84
