Step-by-step explanation:

15 years ago

let the age of father be X-15

Age of his's son=y-15

According to question

X-15=6(y-15)

X-15=6Y-90

X-6Y=-75_______Eq1

After 5 years,

Age of father=X+5

Age of his's son=y+5

according to question

x+5=2(y+5)

X+5=2Y+10

X-2Y=5________Eq2

solving eq 1 and 2,we get

X-6Y=-75

X-2Y=5(SIGN changes)

- + =-

_______

-4Y=-80

Y=-80/-4

Y=20

Putting the value of Y(20)in Eq2.

X-2(20)=5

X-40=5

X=45

Age of father=45

Age of his's son=20
