Answer:

Answer:

Pond:

A pond is an area filled with water, either natural or artificial, that is smaller than a lake. It may arise naturally in floodplains as part of a river system, or be a somewhat isolated depression (such as a kettle, vernal pool, or prairie pothole). It may contain shallow water with aquatic plants and animals.

Ocean:

The ocean is a continuous body of salt water that covers more than 70 percent of the Earth's surface. Ocean currents govern the world's weather and churn a kaleidoscope of life. ... Smaller ocean regions such as the Mediterranean Sea, Gulf of Mexico, and the Bay of Bengal are called seas, gulfs, and bays.

The difference between a pond and an ocean is, aond is much smaller and does not contain salt water, while oceans is very big it covers half of the earths surface , ponds are very shalow, while ocean is several thousands miles deep in most places, ponds can make green pond plants because the sunlight can reach the floor of ponds, while oceans cant grow green plants because the sunlight cant reach the floor of the ocean
