Hi ,

*******************************************

We know the algebraic identity :

( a - b )² = a² - 2ab + b²

*******************************************

Here ,

a = √15 , b = √5

Now ,

( √15 - √5 )²

= (√15 )² - 2 × √15 × √5 + ( √5 )²

= 15 - 2√( 15 × 5 ) + 5

= 20 - 2√( 5 × 3 × 5 )

= 20 - 10√3

= 10( 2 - √3 )

I hope this helps you.
