Assuming the centre of city to be the origin, north-south direction is along y axis and west-east direction is along x axis; show the various position of the car on the Cartesian plane. 5 km (along east),

15 km (along south)

10 km (along west)

Start from origin  ( 0 , 0)

covers a distance of 15 km (along north)   (0 , 15)

covers a distance of  5 km (along east),   (5 , 15)

covers a distance of 15 km (along south)   (5 , 0)

covers a distance of  10 km (along west),   (-5 , 0)
