15. A mass of 15kg is tied at the end of a steel wire of length 1m and of negligible mass. It is whirled in a
vertical plane with angular velocity Trad/s. Cross sectional area of the wire is 0.06 cm?.Y = 2 x 10" Pa.
Consider a case when the mass is at its lowermost position. For this case, find: (a) resultant force
acting on the wire, (b) Stress on the wire (c) strain in the wire and (d) elongation.
Calculate the elongation of the wire when the mass is at its lowest position.
