15. Aclosed rectangular box measuring 72 cm by 54 cm by 48 cm externally is made of wood 1.5 cm thick
(1) Find the capacity of the box in litres.
(ii) What is the volume of wood used in making the box?
(ili) What is the mass of the box, if the wood used weighs 0.9 g/cm'​

Given that:

Thickness of wood =1.5 cm

Length of rectangular box  l=72−2×1.5=69 cm

Breadth of rectangular box  b=48−2×1.5=45 cm

Height of rectangular box  h=24−2×1.5=23 cm

Capacity of box =l.b.h

=69×45×23

=71415 cm3.

Hence, this is the required answer.
