maybe the correct answer is towards west

since the electron is moving vertically downwards that means the current is in the direction vertically upwards because the direction of electron is opposite to the direction of current and the Earth's magnetic field is from north to south so by applying Fleming's left hand rule we can find out the direction of force applied on the electron i.e in west.....
