the scientist who conducted this experiment was know as Mendel

when mendel cross pollinated pure tall pea plants with pure dwarf pea plants he got tall plants in f1 generation when mendel self pollinated f1 tall plants he got tall and dwarf plants in the ratio 3 : 1. this shows that dwarf character was present in the f1 progeny but not expressed

so i conclude that:

both assertion and reason are wrong
