Correct Question :-

15 chairs were purchased for a hotel by the owner for ₹5600 1/4. Find the cost of 1 chair.

Given :-

Cost of 15 chairs = ₹5600 1/4

To Find :-

The cost of 1 chair.

Solution :-

5600{\dfrac{1}{4}}\: =\: {\dfrac{(5600\: \times\:4)\: +\: 1}{4}}

=\: {\bold{\dfrac{22401}{4}}}

Cost of 15 chairs =\:{\dfrac{22401}{4}}

Cost of 1 chair =\:{\dfrac{22401}{4}}\:\div\: 15

=\: {\dfrac{22401}{4}}\:\times\: {\dfrac{1}{15}}

=\: {\dfrac{22401}{60}}

= 373.35

Therefore, cost of 1 chair is ₹ 373.35
