Now , we know that cot A will be equal to base/perpendicular . So , in order to find other trignometric Ratios we should find hypontenuse.
Let the given ratio be 8x : 15x .
⇒ hypontenuse ² = base² + perpendicular ²
⇒ hypontenuse ² = (8x)² + (15x)²
⇒ hypontenuse ² = 64x² + 225x²
⇒ hypontenuse ² = 289x²
⇒ hypontenuse = √289x²
⇒ hypontenuse = 17x
And , we know that ,
- sin A= perp./hypo.
- cos A = base/hypo.
- tan A = perp./base
