Answer:

  • a = 11
  • Perimeter = 100cm

Explanation:

Given sides of a square,

  • (3a - 8) cm.
  • (a + 14) cm.

According to the square property,

Each sides of a square is equal.

Then,

 \rm \implies \: (3a - 8) = (a + 14)

Solving further,

 \rm \implies \: 3a - 8 = a + 14

 \rm \implies \: 3a - a= 8 + 14

 \rm \implies \: 2a= 22

 \rm \implies \: a=  \dfrac{22}{2}

 \rm \implies \: a= 11

Each side of the sqaure is :-

→ (3a - 8)

→ 3(11) - 8

→ 33 - 8

→ 25

Perimeter of the sqaure is given by,

→ 4 × side

→ 4 × 25

→ 100cm.
