Find the roots of the quacratic
equation x²+4x+5=0​

Solution:-

=> x²+4x+5=0

=> x² + 4x = - 5

Add 4 both sides

=> x² + 4x + 4 = - 5 + 4

=> x² + 2x + 2x + 4 = - 1

=> x ( x + 2 ) + 2 ( x + 2 ) = - 1

=> ( x + 2 ) ( x + 2 ) = - 1

so, now

=> ( x + 2 )² = - 1

=> x + 2 = ± √1

=> x = - 2 ± √1

means,

x = - 2 + √1 or x = - 2 - √1
