= 2 x 2+ 3 x 1

= 4 + 3

x = 2  \:  \:  \:  \: y = 1

\implies2(2) + 3(1) = k

\implies4 + 3 = k

\implies7 = k

Procedure :-

\implies This question is from the linear equation, as we can see that we have to find the value of k by equating the Polynomial.

\implies We can also see that we are given the vues of x and y that are 2 and 1 respectively. Then we will put the 2 and 1 in place of x and y and then we will equate it. And hence the value of k is 7 .
