15. Jakir has a 18m x 14m rectangular plot of land. There is a square portion of
land without the garden. Let's also find how many square tiles of side 2 dcm. will be
required to cover this vacant portion of land.​

Length of a rectangular hall L=40 m

Breadth of the rectangular hall B=18 m

So, the area of hall

=L×B=40×18=720 m

Since,

Length of tiles l=1 m

Breadth of tiles b=50 cm=0.5 m

So, the area of each tile

=l×b=1×0.5=0.5 m

Therefore, the numbers of tiles are required
