15th August is celebreated as Independence day every year. We got freedom from British rulers on this day. We got independence on 15th August 1947. Many freedom fighters laid their life to death only for India as they wanted to make the country independence. Every year, on this day, our Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi, hosts a falg on Red fort, Delhi. On this day, everyone sings National Anthem 'Jana Gana Mana' and hosts the flag before singing. Many functions are conducted on this day. In each school the students and teacher hosts flag and cekebrates Independence Day.

The 15th August is a red letter day in the history of India. It was on this day that the British quitted India and our country became independent.
The struggle for freedom was long and toilsome. The fight for freedom was fought under the able leadership of Mahatma Gandhi.
This day is celebrated throughout the country. In early hours of the morning of this day, batches of school boys and scouts parade through all the roads and lanes of the towns and villages.
At 8 AM flag hosting is done in all government offices as well as in private offices. The national song ' jana gana mana ' is sung. The national flag is saluted by all present there.
At night the town is illuminated with electric bulbs, candles and lamps.
" A HEAVEN SEEMS TO HAVE DESCENDED ON THE EARTH "
Thus the happy day of 15th August passes of merrily.
