As we know: Number of people* Number of days = Total work
For women:
21(x-4) = 63( y-4)
We get, 21x- 63y = -168--------(i)
For men:
15x = 35 y
So x= 7y/3 -----------(ii)
Now solving equation (i) and (ii) we get:
49y - 63y = -168
Or, y= 12
So, x= 7y/3 = 28.
