  • 150 Men .

Given :- 15 men can print 25 books in 10 days.

To Find :- How may men can finish printing 50 books in 2 days ?

Solution :-

→ 15 men can print 25 books in = 10 days .

So,

→ 1 man can print 25 books in = 10 × 15 = 150 days .

then,

→ 1 man can print 1 book in = (150/25) = 6 days.

now,

→ 1 man can print 1 book in = 6 days .

So,

→ 1 man can print 50 books in = 50 × 6 = 300 days .

now,

→ In 300 days , 50 books printed by = 1 man

→ In 1 day , 50 books can be printed by = 1 × 300 = 300 men .

therefore,

Hence, 150 men can finish printing 50 books in 2 days .

Direct Formula :-

  • If x men can print y books in z days and a men can print b books in c days, then :- (x × z)/y = (a × c)/b => x × z × b = a × c × y .

from given data we have,

  • x = 15 men
  • y = 25 books
  • z = 10 days
  • a = ?
  • b = 50 books
  • c = 2 days .

So,

→ x × z × b = a × c × y

→ 15 × 10 × 50 = a × 2 × 25

→ 150 × 50 = a × 50

→ a = 150 men (Ans.)
