Given:

15 men can reap 12 acres working 8 hours a day

To find:

How many men are required to reap 18 acres working 6 hours a day?

Solution:

If 15 men can reap 12 acres working 8 hours a day

In 1 hour they can reap 12/8 acres of land

In one hour one person can reap 12/ (8)(15) acres

In 6 hours 1 person can reap (12*6)/ (8*15) acres= 3/5 acres

To reap 18 hours, number of people required will be 18/ (3/5) = 30

Therefore, 30 people will be needed to reap 18 acres working 6 hours a day.
