Step-by-step explanation:

Average = Sum of n terms ÷ n

70=S/15

S=70×15=1050

where S = sum of 15 terms

First 8 average,

65=X/8

X=65×8=520

where X = sum of first 8 terms

Next 8 average,

95=Y/8

Y=95×8=760

where Y = sum of next 8 terms

S - ( X + Y ) = Median = Middle term

1050 - ( 520 + 760 ) = 1050 - 1280 = - 230

Therefore, S - Median Average is

[ 1050 - ( - 230 ) ]/2 = (1050 + 230 )/2

= 1280/2 = 640.
