Given :-

  • 15% of fruits in a basket are rotten.

  • If there are 60 fruits in the basket.

To Find :-

  • Find the number of fruits  that are not rotten.

Solution :-

  • Total number fruits in the basket = 60

  • Number of fruits that are rotten = 15%

                                                             =  \sf{\frac{15}{100}~x~60

                                                             = 0.15 x 60

                                                             = 9

  • ∴ Number of fruits that are not rotten = 60 - 9

                                                                       = 51

Ans. 51 fruits are not rotten.
