15 percent increase in 38 Kg is equal to 43.7 Kg.

Given:

Total weight= 38Kg

Percentage increase= 15%

To find: 15% increase in the given weight of 38Kg

Solution:

15% increase means, an increase of 15 Kg if the total weight is 100Kg.

So,

For 100kg, total increase= 15Kg

For 1kg, the total increase =\frac{15}{100} =\frac{3}{20}kg

For 38kg, the total increase=\frac{3}{20}X 38= \frac{3 X 19}{10} =5.7kg

Now, 15% increase in 38Kg= 38+5.7= 43.7Kg.

Therefore, a 15 percent increase in 38 Kg is equal to 43.7 Kg.
