Heyaa !! Mate here is your answer

Answer:

The line segment AB is divided by line y=2 in 3:5.

Step-by-step explanation:

The end points of line segment are A(6,5) and B(4,-3).

Let the line segment AB is divided by line y=2 in k:1.

The intersection point of AB and y=2 is (x,2).

Using section formula:

y=\frac{my_2+ny_1}{m+n}

2=\frac{k(-3)+1(5)}{k+1}

2k+2=-3k+5

2k+3k=5-2

5k=3

Divide both sides by 5.

k=\frac{3}{5}

Therefore the line segment AB is divided by line y=2 in 3:5.
