Radius of the circle formed = 14cm

So, length of the wire = circumference of the circle = 2πr

= 2 × 22/7 × 14

= 2 × 22 × 2

=88cm

Now, perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + b) = 88cm

⇒ (l + b) = 88/2 = 44cm

Let 'l' be the one side whose mesurement has been given

⇒ 24 + b = 44cm

⇒ b = 44 - 24 = 20cm

Area of circle = πr²

= 22/7 × 14 × 14

= 22 × 2 × 14

= 616cm²

Area of rectangle = l × b

= 20 × 24

= 480cm²

∴  The circle encloses more area in the following situation.......

Hope this helps
