CASE 1

For Mahesh

He answered 35 questions correctly. So marks for the correct answers = 35×5 =175

He answered ( 40-35) 5 answers incorrectly. So marks deducted=5×3=15

Total marks= 175-15=160

CASE 2

For Suresh

He answered 32 questions correctly. So marks for it=32×5=160

He answered 8 questions incorrectly. So marks for it=8×3=24

Total marks= 160-24= 136

Difference between the two total marks= 160-136=24...

Answer=24
