15.the length of a rectangle is 1m greater than it's width.if the length is increased by 2m and the width is decreased by 6m,the area decreased by 50 square metre.what are the dimensions of the rectangle​

length -width =1

length =x

width =x-1

x(x-1)

x^2-x area 1st

if

x+2 and x-1-6

area =x+2(x-7)

x^2-7x+2x-14

x^2-5x-14 area 2nd

said in question

1st area -2nd area =50

x^2-x-x^2+5x+14=50

4x=36

x=9m

9m is length and 8 is width
