Answer:

No of cheaper tickets (60 cents) are 20 nos

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : No of ticket = 30

           total money collected = 22$

          no of 60 cents tickets = ?

Solution : Let C be the no of 60 cent tickets

then $1 tickets = total tickets - 60 cents tickets

                        = 30 - C

Total money collected = no of 60 cents ticket x value of each ticket +

                                       no of $1 tickets x value of each ticket

                               22 = C x 0.6 + (30-C)x1

                               22 = 0.6C + 30 - C

                                22 = 30 - 0.4C

                              0.4C = 30-22

                             0.4C = 8

                                  C = 8/0.4

                                     = 20 nos
