Answer :

k = 13

Solution :

➤ x - 2 = 0

➤ x = 2

Substitute x value in given equation

p(x) = 2x³ + 3x² - kx + 5

(x - 2) is factor of p(x) & p(x) = 7

==➤ 2x³ + 3x² - kx + 5 = 7

==➤ 2(2)³ + 3(2)² - K(2) + 5 = 7

==➤ 16 + 12 - 2k + 5 = 7

==➤ 26 = 2k

≈≈➤ k = 13
