Magnetic field inside solenoid :

  • This formula can be easily proved with Ampere-Circuital Law. The general expression comes as :

 \boxed{ \bf \: B =   \mu_{0}(N \times i) }

The various terms used here are :

  • \mu_{0} is the permeability of free space with value of 4π × 10^(-7) .

  • N refers to number of turns per unit length (hence can also be written as n/L)

  • 'i' refers to current through the solenoid.

Hope It Helps.
