(b) It is prepared by using sodium chloride.

(c) It is prepared by using NaCl (brine).

(d) On heating gypsum at 373° K it loses water molecules and becomes CaSO4. 1/2 H2O. it is called plaster of paris

(e) When electricity is passed through an aqueous solution of sodium chloride, it decomposes to form sodium hydroxide. This process is called chlor alkali process bcz the products formed are chlor for chlorine and alkali for sodium hydroxide.
