15 + x = 5x + 3

15 - 3 = 5x - x

12 = 4x

therefore x = 12 ÷ 4 = 3.

Answer:

=> The value of x is 3.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that:-

15 + x= 5x+3

To find:- The value of the expression

For simplifying the expression, we have to use the BODMAS concept.

It is the rule used to remember the order of operations that is followed while solving expressions in mathematics.

         where,

         B= bracket

         O= order of power or rules

         D= division

         M= multiplication

         A= addition

         S= subtraction

As we have,

=> 15 + x= 5x+3

Rearranging the terms,

=> x+15= 5x+3

Now, subtract both sides by 15:

=> x+15-15= 5x+3-15

Simplifying it further, we get

=> x = 5x - 12

Now subtract both sides by 5x:

=> x-5x = 5x - 12-5x

=> -4x = -12

Divide both sides by -4,

=> x = 3

Hence, the required solution is 3.
