 15(x- 1) + 4(x + 3)  = 2(7 + x)

15(x-1)+4(x+3)=2(7+x)

Remove the parentheses on both the sides...

15x -15 +4x +12= 14 +2x

Collect the like terms, calculate..

19x -3 = 14 +2x

Move the terms on both sides and change their signs...

19x -2x= 14 +3

Collect the like terms, calculate..

17x= 17

Divide both sides of the equation by 17

x= 1

The required solution....
