44a+30b=10-----(1)

55a+40b=13-----(2)

multiply (1) by 4 and (2) by 3

176a+120b=40---(3)

165a+120b=39---(4)

on subtracting both the eq. we get

11a=1

a=1/11

putting a=1/11 in eq. (1)

44(1/11)+30b=10

30b=6

b=1/5

x+y=1/a=11---(5)

x-y=1/b=5---(6)

on adding (5) and (6) we get

2x=16

x=8

on putting x=8 in eq. (5)

8+y=11

y=3
