Solution:

Let,

"x" → represents the no. of one rupee coins

"y" → represents the no. of two rupee coins

The number of one rupee coins in a bag is three times the number of two rupee coins, so the equation will be:

x = 3y ↔ Equation1

The total no. of coins in this bag is ₹ 150

Therefore, we get the equation as:

x + 2y = 150

on substituting from equation1

\implies 3y + 2y = 150

\implies 5y = 150

\implies y = \frac{150}{5}

\implies \bold{y = 30}

\bold{x} = 3y = 3 \times 30 = \bold{90}

Thus, the number of both the coins in the bag:
