Rabindranath Tagore has been a great poet, playwright, performer and litterateur of India. He was born on 7 May 1861 in Jadasko, Kolkata. His father’s name was Devendranath Thakur and mother’s name was Sharda Devi. He received his early education at home. He studied Kanun from London University and returned to India without taking a degree. Rabindranath Tagore is also known as Gurudev. He started writing poetry in Kama Omar. Tagore was awarded the Nobel Prize for his work Geetanjali. Tagore’s two compositions have been adopted as the national anthem of two countries.

Jan Gun Mana is the national anthem of India and Amar Sonar Bangla has been made the national anthem of Bangladesh. Rabindranath Tagore was an educationist and founded a school called Shantiniketan. Through his poems, he encouraged patriotism of the people of the country and he himself was a very patriot. He died before independence on August 7, 1941. Even today he is remembered for his writing work.

Ravindra Nath Tagore was born on 7 May 1861 in Kolkata, he was very talented since childhood, his father’s name was Maharishi Devendranath Tagore and mother’s name was Sharda Devi. Ravindra Nath Tagore did his early studies in his home, he was very much a friend in studies, he was very fond of writing poems from the beginning, he has written a lot of poems. When he grew up, he moved to England to pursue higher education, but he returned to England shortly after and came to his country India and started a school.His school name was Shanti Niketan, later this school became a college and then it has become a university. Ravindra Nathji was a good friend of Mahatma Gandhi, he also supported Mahatma Gandhi and did many social works, he wrote essays, poems, novels, stories on many subjects from which people still take inspiration. The works written by him inspire social evils, to remove the evils spread in the society. Some of his published works are Geetanjali, Shishu Bholanath, Kanika, Kshanika etc. Among his poetry collection are Kalpana, Chitra etc. and Raja in his major novels And Rani, Chitrangana and Malini.He wanted to remove the poverty, illiteracy spread in our India country and tried hard to inspire people on this subject, he also wrote many stories to overcome these problems so that society can be given a guidance.Ravindra Nath Tagore ji was such a great poet who also received many awards for his works, he received the Nobel Prize for Gitanjali.
