Dear Student,
◆ Answer -
P = 87865 Pa
● Explanation -
Moles of oxygen gas in the container is -
n(O2) = 400×10^-3 / 32
n(O2) = 12.5×10^-3 mol
Moles of hydrogen gas in the container is -
n(H2) = 60×10^-3 / 2
n(H2) = 30×10^-3 mol
Total no of moles in container is -
n = n(O2) + n(H2)
n = 12.5×10^-3 + 30×10^-3
n = 42.5×10^-3 mol
n = 0.0425 mol
Using ideal gas equation,
PV = nRT
P = nRT/V
P = 0.0425 × 8.314 × 373 / 1500×10^-6
P = 87865 Pa
Therefore, pressure in the flask is 87865 Pa.
Thanks dear...
