15y = -17x + 11 [2] y = -17x/15 + 11/15

// Plug this in for variable  y  in equation [1]

  [1] 15x + 17•(-17x/15+11/15) = 21   [1] -64x/15 = 128/15   [1] -64x = 128

// Solve equation [1] for the variable  x

  [1] 64x = - 128    [1] x = - 2

// By now we know this much :

  x = -2   y = -17x/15+11/15

// Use the  x  value to solve for  y

  y = -(17/15)(-2)+11/15 = 3

Solution :

 {x,y} = {-2,3}  Processing ends successfully
