hiii!!!

here's ur answer...

given :- 16 × 22

we can write like this = ( 20 - 4 ) ( 20 + 2 )

by using 4th identity of algebraic expression ( x + a ) ( x - b ) = x² + ( a + b ) x + ab

here, x = 20, a = -4 and b = 2

= 20² + ( -4 + 2 ) ( 20 ) + ( -4 × 2 )

= 400 - 40 - 8

= 400 - 48

= 352

hope this helps..!!

BONJOUR,

16 \times 22 \\ (20 - 4)(20 + 4) \\ there \: is \: a \: identity \: \\ (x - y)(x + y) = x {}^{2} - y {}^{2} \\ so \\ \\ 20 {}^{2} - 4 {}^{2} \\ 400 - 16 \\ = 384
