16 =3 (x -7) + 4 solve the following equation

3(x-7)=16
=> 3x - 21 = 16
=> 3x =16 +21
=> 3x = 37
=> x = 37/3

16 = 3(x - 7) + 4 \\ 16 = 3x  - 21 + 4 \\ 16 = 3x - 17 \\ 16  + 17 = 3x \\ 31 = 3x \\ x = 31 \div 3
