BODMAS Rule in short :

B -----> Brackets

O -----> Of (orders :Powers and radicals)

D -----> Division

M -----> Multiplication

A -----> Addition

S -----> Subtraction

16-4+5x8/2

= 16-4+5×4 ( BODMAS - division first )

= 16-4+20 ( BODMAS - then multiplication )

= 36-4 ( BODMAS - then addition)

= 32 ( BODMAS -finally substraction )

Answer:

Value of  16 - 4 + 5\times \frac{8}{2}   is 32 .

Step-by-step explanation:

To solve : 16 - 4 + 5\times \frac{8}{2}

Solution:-

  • To solve the above expression we will follow BODMAS rule.
  • It is the rule used to remember the order of operations to be followed while solving expressions in mathematics.
  • Where,

        \begin{array}{l}\\B = brackets\\\mathrm{O}=\text { order of powers or rules } \\\mathrm{D}=\text { Division } \\\mathrm{M}=\text { multiplication } \\\mathrm{A}=\text { addition } \\\mathrm{S}=\text { subtraction }\end{array}$$

  • According to above rule we will solve .

        16 - 4 + 5\times \frac{8}{2} \\\\= 16 - 4 + 5 \times 4\\\\=16-4+20\\\\=16+16\\\\=32
