16. A geostationary satellite is moving in a circular orbit at a height of 36000 km from the surface of
earth. Calculate its speed if it takes 24 hours to revolve around the earth ? (Given radius of earth
= 6400 km)

The radius of the orbit =6400+36000=42400km

circumference of the orbit 2πR

=2×3.14×42400

=266272km

speed= Time/Distance

=24

266272

=11094.67km/h.
