Step-by-step explanation:

let he walk x km so run 6-x km

we know that his speed in walk as well as run

time=distance/speed

so total time =50min

x/6+(x6-x)/8= 5/6 (because 50min =5/6 hours)

(4x+18-3x)/24=5/6

x+18=5*4

x=2km

so 6-x=4km

total walk 2km

and total run 4km
