Answer:

120 N

Explanation:

Tension at lowest point = 6mg

= 6 X 2 X 10

= 120 N

Tension at highest point = 0 N

So, difference between them is 120 N

Given : A stone of mass 2 kg tie with the help of thread of  length 2 m and moves in vertical circular motion.

To Find : Difference between tension in the thread at lowest  point and at the highest point.

Solution :

At the highest point, weight will act downward and centrifugal force upward and there will be no tension (as stated). Hence, tension at lower point is 6mg and as discussed at uppermost point is zero.

Tension at lowest point of thread  = 6mg  = 6 X 2 X 10 = 120 N

Tension at highest point of thread = 0 N

So, difference between them is 120 N.

Hence, Difference between tension in the thread at lowest  point and at the highest point is 120N.
