by squared tiles. If each square tile is of side 0.5 m, then find the number of
tiles required to cover the floor of the room.

area of the floor = l x b

= 4 x 3

= 12 m²

area of tiles = s²

= (0.5)²

= 0.25 m²

number of tiles required to cover the floor. = area of floor/area of tiles

= 12/0.25

= 48
