Thus
k = (1/R) x (L/A)
where k = conductivity
R = resistance
L = Length
A = Area
The term (L/A) is defined as the cell constant of the cell and is the ratio of length and area of the plate.
also conductivity is given by the relation :
k = molar conductivity/volume
=> molar conductivity = conductivity x volume
Hence the molar conductivity is defined as the product of conductivity and volume.
