1rst question answer:

perimeter of square = 4a

side = 2

  • perimeter = 4×2
  • = 8 m

perimeter of equilateral triangle = 3a

side =1.5

  • perimeter = 3×1.5
  • = 4.5 m

2nd question answer:

a) sum of their perimeters = 8+4.5 = 12.5 m

b) difference of their perimeters = 8-4.5 = 4.5m
